What sports can be played with the MaxX K Premium Ankle Brace?

The brace is designed for any sport with running, jumping, or lateral movements, such as:

Trail running, soccer, tennis, lacrosse, volleyball, football, basketball, field hockey, squash, racquetball, cheer leading, dance, or any other sport that utilizes a shoe.

 

What type of shoes work with the brace?

Any shoe that tightens around the ankle... elastic-topped or "slip-on" shoes, sandals, or flip-flops are not appropriate.

All sneakers, sports shoes, cleats, or running spikes work well.

Low-cut and mid-cut hiking shoes also work well.

It is possible to wear the MaxX K without shoes, but extra care must be taken that the brace is applied properly and that the underfoot and cross-over straps are properly tightened.

 

What other gear can be worn with the brace?

Shin guards and socks work with the brace. Ski boots, snowboarding boots, high-topped (mid-calf) boots, or other braces may cause irritation.

Mid-high hiking boots are fine.

 

How do you keep the brace clean?

Remove the stirrup and hand wash or machine wash the strap - delicate cycle, line dry.

Remove the lose mud, hand wash the stirrup, line dry.

 

What are the limitations of the MaxX K Premium Ankle Brace?

The MaxX K Premium Ankle Brace will help prevent injury, but cannot guarantee the prevention of all injuries.

The MaxX K Premium Ankle Brace does not apply compression, and thus should not be used just after an acute injury or when swelling is present.

It is not suggested to use the MaxX K to cut your sandwich.
